Battlegrounds Mobile India Banned From Google Play and App Store

It seems that, like its predecessor PUBG Mobile, BGMI will be subject to scrutiny in the near future. Temporary in nature for the time being is the ban.

The Indian app stores for both iOS and Android have just removed Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). There have been no recent public statements regarding the game's status.

Reasons for taking down Battlegrounds Mobile India

There was apparently an order from the Indian government that led to BGMI's demise. Google has recently stated that it has decided to remove the game from its Play Store due to a "Government Order," suggesting that this is the reason for its removal.

Since then, numerous Indian BGMI Youtubers who claim to be in the know have come forward to assert that the ban is only temporary. There will be hearings about this incident in the coming days.

Regarding the prior ban on PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile, the forerunner to BGMI, was also removed from the Google Play Store in 2020 after privacy concerns were raised against the game's developer, Tencent. This occurs at the same time that tensions are high on the border between India and China, where Tencent is headquartered.

Parents all over the country voiced concerns that their children were becoming too addicted to the game, which was having a negative impact on their social and academic lives.

Concluding Remarks

It would appear that the future of the sport in this area is in jeopardy. The PUBG and BGMI community, which has only recently started to get back on its feet after the ban, would almost certainly collapse as a result of this blow.

Following the imposition of this ban, it is highly improbable that BGMI will ever be permitted to enter the country again. More information regarding this event is going to be updated.
